As summer nears the end, and the kids are heading back to school, many parents are checking last-minute chores off their summer to-do lists. Between buying school supplies and getting your kids a conservative haircut that they hate, there are never enough hours in the day to do everything! The end of summer vacation is a perfect time to fit in any last-minute medical appointments that your kids might need. Seeing the pediatrician, the dentist, the orthodontist, and the eye doctor may already seem like a lot, but make sure that if you have any concerns with your child’s hearing you also take him or her to an audiologist. Children’s hearing testing is often covered by insurance, and usually takes less than an hour. That’s just enough time for you to use it as an excuse to get out of one more dreaded trip to Chuck E. Cheese.
