The holiday season is here in full force, and if you’re anything like me, that means procrastinating on choosing gifts for family and friends. While some people are easy to shop for, finding the perfect gift for everyone can be hard. Here are a few gift ideas for loved ones with and without hearing aids. Noise-cancelling headphones are perfect for a loved one with or without hearing loss for several reasons.
First of all, they are often large enough that hearing aids can fit underneath the earmuff portion of the headphones. Secondly, noise cancelling technology allows the listener to use them at a lower volume than traditional earphones, which reduces the risk of noise-induced hearing damage for people with and without hearing loss. Hearing protection also makes a great holiday gift for the music lover and concert goer in your life.
While custom hearing protection makes a great gift, even over-the-counter foam earplugs make a nice stocking stuffer. For loved ones with hearing aids, a package of batteries makes a great stocking stuffer. While kind of boring as far as gifts go, you can never have enough batteries, and they will thank you for giving them something that they really need. Just make sure to check their battery size first!
